Monitoring of Stack Emissions to Air - M2, Version 8, July 2011

The Environment Agency (EA) have released a new version of the Technical Guidance Note M2 - Monitoring of Stack Emissions to Air.
The main reasons for carrying out stack emission monitoring are:
1) Compliance with environmental legislation;
2) Collecting data for emissions-inventory compilation;
3) Calibration of continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMs);
4) Collecting data for environmental impact assessments;
5) Collecting data to assess process efficiency and process control;
6) Assessing the performance of a pollution-control device (abatement system).
