Update on MCERTS 2009……
Posted on: June 2, 2009
The MCERTS 2009 exhibition was hosted by Bretby Conference Centre on the 29th and 30th April. It was very well attended, and provided an excellent opportunity for Environmental Compliance Ltd to meet existing clients and develop relations with potential new customers.
In addition to exhibiting, Environmental Compliance Ltd also gave two presentations over the course of the Conference. On the Wednesday, Neil gave a presentation on the Functional Tests aspect of BS EN 14181 and how experiences within Environmental Compliance Ltd have helped to develop a strategy for achieving compliance with current legislation.
The presentation was well received by a full house (standing room only!!) with excellent feedback from the audience, many of whom went on to request a copy of the presentation. Attendees from as far as South Africa and South Korea were in attendance looking to gain an insight into the application of BS EN14181 within their own industries.
The second presentation was entitled “OMA Version 3 - What This Means Going Forward“ and was also very well received with around 40 attendees. The presentation highlighted the differences between the old and new version, which has now been formally adopted by the Environment Agency. A major revision to the the Operator Monitoring Assessment (OMA) is the applicability to the water industry, an area not previously covered. This major revision and the fundamental elements within the audit process were outlined within the seminar. New and existing clients attended to both broaden their knowledge and partake in a Q&A session at the end of the seminar.
The interest in the seminar demonstrated how important it is for process managers, operating under the Environmental Permitting Regulations, to have a good understanding of the regulatory requirements. For further information on how we can assist you prior to the Environment Agency conducting an OMA please complete the contact us form on our website.
Overall, MCERTS 2009 was a great opportunity for Environmental Compliance Ltd to further develop their professional image as a competent and knowledgeable test-house within the Emissions Testing Industry both nationally and internationally.
