Operator Monitoring Assessment (OMA) Training
The recent introduction of OMA and MCERTS has provided legislative guidance/auditing and the implementation of accreditation with the aim of improving the quality and repeatability of air quality monitoring data obtained, as well as improving the overall knowledge and understanding of people involved in this type of work.
The objective of the 2-day training course would be to provide relevant managers/engineers responsible for implementing monitoring with a training course designed to enhance their knowledge and understanding of air quality monitoring of industrial processes.
The benefits to the Operator are:
- Operators will have a better understanding of what is required by OMA;
- Achieving a higher score in their OMA audit;
- Greater knowledge & understanding of emissions monitoring;
- Improved auditing of subcontractors;
- Enhanced quality control of data obtained;
- Improvement of the installations' EMS ;
- Future potential for a reduction in the installations' monitoring programme and improved EP OPRA score.
The benefits to the Regulator are :
- Improved quality of work carried out;
- Increased assurance that work is being conducted correctly;
- Greater understanding in discussions and meetings between the Regulator and representatives of Industry when reviewing reports.
